Activated Group has made the 2010 BRW Fast Starters list

Activated Group, Australia’s leading provider of school sporting programs, has been recognised by BRW as one of Australia’s fastest growing start-up companies. The BRW Fast Starters list hits newsstands on 29th April.

Since commencing trading in February 2006, Activated Group has expanded across Australia with programs now available to schools in every state. It has established its place as Australia’s leading supplier of school sporting programs. Strong revenue growth is continuing for the 2009-2010 financial year, which is a testament to the company’s unique offerings.
International expansion is planned during 2010. “I think it’s about time we get children in other countries moving too,” Mr Cornish said. “With childhood obesity and inactivity a global problem we are expecting strong demand”.

About BRW Fast Starters
The annual BRW Fast Starters list recognises Australia’s top start-up companies. For entrepreneurs and start-up businesses to qualify, they must meet all of the following requirements:
1. Have commenced trading after June 30, 2005
2. Have reported at least two fiscal years of revenue
3. Have revenue of more than $500,000 in 2008-2009
4. Must have more than one customer (the bulk of revenue must not be from government grants or other start-up funding)
5. Be Australian - not a subsidiary of a multinational
6. Revenue for 2008-2009 must be more than 2007-2008
