Vendors selected for the “Cool Vendor” report are innovative, impactful and intriguing

Sydney, Australia, May 17, 2010 – Mastersoft Research: www.mastersoftresearch.com, which develops and markets the Harmony Data Quality Series has been included in the list of “Cool Vendors” in the 2010 Cool Vendors in Data Management and Integration* report from leading analyst firm Gartner, Inc.

The Harmony Data Quality Series uses reasoning engines based on expert systems and inference-based matching to address the challenges that enterprise organisations face with customer information quality. Harmony replicates the judgments people use when making decisions about customer information and is capable of enforcing reliable and consistent results when applying customer information across multiple business contexts.

“We believe Mastersoft Research’s inclusion the Gartner Cool Vendors Report confirms that customer information quality is at the heart of every organisation” said Susan Hyland, CEO of Mastersoft Research. “Harmony supports that belief by putting the customer at the centre of the organisation uniting quality customer data with contextualised customer relationships. Thus, it helps eliminate operational inefficiencies and enables business opportunities within the enterprise. Harmony provides the organisation with a complete end-to-end view of customers. It manages all aspects of customer master data.”

According to Gartner, “Business leaders, CIOs and information architects will be forced to widen their focus on customer data quality improvements as the pressure increases to control and safeguard information assets. In addition, data stewards, customer campaign management teams and compliance officers, should seek technologies, which potentially, could simplify the challenge of establishing data quality controls in the diverse environments they manage.”
