Announcement posted by Lexmark Australia and New Zealand 21 Jun 2010
Lexmark
International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) has announced an addition to its
award-winning line of professional inkjet MFPs (multifunction printers), the
Lexmark Pinnacle (Pro901).
Pinnacle, like two of Lexmark's other business focused Professional Series
MFPs, offers the World’s Lowest Black ink cost*. For just $7.95 users can print
approximately 510 black pages, resulting in a cost per page of approximately
$0.015.
At $7.95 for 510 pages, Lexmark's new black printing costs make office printing
one of the more affordable business costs for a SMB.
In fact, it’s surprising how many day-to-day items a business person purchases that exceed $7.95:
- Return trip train ticket from Chatswood to the City = $8.00
- Sandwich for lunch = $8.20
- Pack of 4 rollerball pens = $9.99
- Pack of 5 coloured Post-it notes = $15.59
- Box of 280 white mailing labels = $19.99
- Digital tax desktop calculator = $24.95
- 4 outlet powerboard with surge protection = $11.98
In addition to the industry-leading running costs, Lexmark's Pinnacle (Pro901)
features 4-in-1 capability, a Web-connected1, easy-to-navigate 4.3 inch
capacitive touch screen and an industry-leading on-site exchange warranty.
"The introduction of Pinnacle builds upon the momentum and success Lexmark
has garnered with its award-winning touch screen MFPs, providing yet another
model that enables our customers to go way beyond printing," said Paul
Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Imaging Solutions
Division.
"Customers have told us that the cost of supplies is their primary pain
point when it comes to printing. Combining our $7.95 cartridge pricing with the
ease-of-use and functionality of Pinnacle's touch-screen menu and SmartSolutions
(https://smartsolutions.lexmark.com) helps our customers be more efficient, saving
both time and money," Rooke added.
Lexmark's SmartSolutions, an array of innovative applications that are changing
the perception and expectation of the inkjet MFP category, also add value to
Pinnacle. In addition to print, scan, copy and fax functions, SmartSolutions
include shortcuts such as Business Card Scanning, workflows and unique apps to
expedite day-to-day office tasks such as Scan to Evernote and Scan to PDF.
Lexmark's Pinnacle (Pro901) is now available in selected retailers and
Lexmark's Authorised Reseller partners. The Lexmark Pinnacle (Pro901) has a
Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of $469.00 (Incl. GST). To learn more about
