FOR a grassroots experience, lend a hand at a children’s orphanage in rural Cambodia on this two-week trip from Student Flights.
Travellers can pack their bags for Phnom Penh to take part in a volunteer program where they will educate kids in basic maths, inspire creativity with art and get active through sport.
During the program, tasks include teaching English, arranging lesson plans, painting and drawing, helping with health education, maintaining the veggie garden and feeding the farm animals.
Prices start from $1139* per person and includes 13 nights accommodation, airport pick-up, orientation, a welcome dinner, tuk tuk transfers, all transportation, an English speaking project co-ordinator, 24-hour emergency assistance and onsite support.
