DMS Maritime appoints PicNet for dedicated technology support

SYDNEY, Aust., 13^th September 2010 – Australian IT services provider PicNet today announced it has won a four year contract to supply technology services to DMS Maritime, the largest maritime services company in Australia. DMS Maritime has secured PicNet’s services to provide IT infrastructure and network support, software development, IT project management and strategic consulting over the next four years through 2014.

PicNet will provide 360 degree IT support for DMS Maritime, from fully outsourced IT helpdesk services through to managing major technology investments. Projects in the works include disaster recovery, network consolidation and WAN optimisation assignments.

This new four year contract extends an existing relationship between PicNet and DMS Maritime, which has been in effect since 2003. During that time PicNet has provided strategic IT guidance and technical support as DMS Maritime has grown from a small team with a handful of computers to the largest maritime services company in the country with a presence in every naval port.
