Greensense shows how IT&T can lead the way to a more sustainable future at the 2010 WAITTA Awards

Announcement posted by Greensense 10 Apr 2011

Greensense View is an innovative sustainability platform that provides real-time monitoring and feedback on water and energy use.

The locally developed product was recognised last night by winning the Best Product category at the WA Information Technology and Telecommunication Awards (WAITTA).

The other finalises in the Best Product category included iiNet, Australia's second largest ISP with their IPTV product, and Amcom, a leading telecommunication company with their VOIP product.

Buildings are responsible for a fifth of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions, and Greensense View works by giving buildings a voice, helping them to engage occupants and visitors to conserve energy and water, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Greensense View supports energy efficiency and alternative energy projects in buildings, and showcases sustainability achievements. By turning buildings into teaching tools, Greensense View can encourage sustainability in the wider community.

Greensense View is deployed in a wide range of buildings ranging including commercial offices, stadiums, convention centres, aquaticcentres, universities, schools, and, libraries and other community buildings.

As a winner in the WAITTA Awards last night, Greensense will go forward to compete in the IAwards, Australia’s premier IT Awards, and will be competing in the Sustainability category.
