3-step charger for Li-Ion battery cells

Amtex Electronics have released another addition to the popular range of 3-step chargers, the 2240 and 2240LI series.
Available as a 6V 1.3A, 12V 1A and 24V 0.5A for Lead Acid batteries or for charging 1-4 cell Li Ion batteries.
The use of Li-Ion batteries is rapidly increasing and so has the demand for chargers. However, the characteristics of Li-Ion batteries do require special characteristics from the charger for safe and reliable operation.
The 2240 LI model has Current Detection as charge termination for safe charge of 1-4 cell Li-Ion batteries.
The 2240 for use with Lead Acid batteries have automatic short circuit and reverse polarity protection, universal ac input 90-264VAC and an IEC320 mains connector, which is interchangeable with worldwide mains cables.
Both model measure 90 x 45 x 32mm and weigh only 115g. In addition to the standard Safety approvals they also approved for medical use to EN60601.
